Ex Messiah FC Stars, Okoli, Okoye In Titanic Clash In Egyptian Football League

Saturday’s clash between Arab Contractors and ENNPI SC in the Egyptian League is symbolic as two Nigerian brothers are set to lock horns in a bid to secure three points at stake for their respective clubs in the crucial encounter.
While John Okoli plies his trade with Arab Contractors as a striker, John Okoye is playing for ENPPI SC and the two players will keep a date with history on Saturday to settle scores in the Egyptian Premier League.
Interestingly, back home in Nigeria, the two players are former players of Lagos State-based club, Messiah FC, but this background will not be at play when the duo clash to determine who win the game on Saturday.
ENPPI SC will welcome Al Mokawloon SC to their home at the Petrol Sport Stadium in a week two encounter.
Okoli said he is looking forward to the crucial match against his brother, adding that “It’s going to be a nice feeling for me playing against his team. My expectation is let the best team win”.
Notwithstanding the importance of the tie, Okoli also revealed that his target is to help Arab Contractors finish among the top four teams in the league.
“As a striker my expectation for the team is to be among best 4 teams in Egypt and make my goals count at the end of the season”.
To John Okoye, however, he is ready to square it out with his former teammate at Messiah FC.
“We’ve played together and also against each other back years in Cyprus and it was an exciting game which we both gave good performance”.
Like Okoli, Okoye said the better side should win the game.
“I believe we both will give good performance and the better side who convert their chances will win”
Messiah FC Team Manager, Deji Beecroft is so proud of the feat being recorded by his former players in faraway Egyptian League, as they have been good ambassadors of the Lagos-based team competing in the National Nationwide League, NLO since they departed the shores of the country to search for football greener pastured abroad.
“Both of them are very good, they started playing for Messiah FC in 2008 and at some time they went on loan to MFM before they travelled out of the country”
“Okoli just came to Egypt this season, Okoye started playing for Ennpi last season and he scored ten goals”.
