Faleke: The Need For Continuity Of Service
HON EDWARD SAMUEL ARAGBONFOH JP
It was the preeminent leader of Indian nationalism, Mahatma Gandhi, who said, “Consciously or unconsciously, every one of us does render some service or other”. American writer, Og Mandino, on his own submitted that we should always render more and better service than is expected of us no matter what the tasks might be.
It is on record that Ikeja Federal Constituency have had Hon Beckley, Hon Tugbobo(RIP), Hon Odulana as past representatives of the constituency but Hon James Abiodun Faleke has continued to stand out. JAF as he is popularly known enjoys lots of goodwill from party leaders and majority of the party members based on his unique qualities as a core party loyalist.
British musician and author, Douglas Adams, said that to give real service we must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money. Over the years, Hon Faleke has remained a servant leader, a dependable, trusted and reliable team player and worthy representative of the people who had added things that cannot be bought or measured with money in the constituency.
Since it is said that the reward for work well done is more work, Hon Faleke is therefore in the race for another term as the peoples representative in the Green Chambers. His bid for reelection received a great boost recently with the endorsement by party leaders and stakeholders in the Ikeja Federal Constituency which included the APC National Zonal Women Leader (Southwest), Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson, and the three Council Chairmen making up Ikeja Federal Constituency: Mojeed Balogun (Ikeja Local Government Area); Babatunde Oke (Onigbongbon LCDA) and Julius Oloro (Ojodu LCDA).
Other leaders who equally endorsed him included: Dr Abayomi Finnih; Cardinal James Odunmbaku; Babatunde Ogala; Chief Funsho Ologunde; Chief Ebenezer Akinbolade; Tayo Ayinde; Hon Niyi Oyemade; Kehinde Akinola; Idowu Osuolale Obasa; Dr. Adesola Taiwo; Wale Okesola and Alhaja Iyabo Akerele (APC chairperson, Onigbongbo LCDA), Alhaji M.A. Akintola; Prince Tunji Adams, A.O. Sawyer; Idowu Obasa; Alhaja Ogun; Alhaja Abioro; Alhaja Ayanbadejo; Alhaji Dally Adeokun (Ikeja APC chairman); Mr. Ajakaiye (Ojodu LCDA APC chairman); ward chairmen, past and serving councillors.
According to the leaders, Faleke had offered effective and quality representation in the Green Chamber and deserved another term to consolidate his achievements.
“The experience of Hon Abiodun James Faleke is highly needed to ensure that Ikeja Federal Constituency is effectively represented at the National Assembly,” the stakeholders said.
