First Lady Charges Super Falcons To Make Nigeria Proud

Ahead of the 9th FIFA Women’s World Cup Finals in Australia and New Zealand this summer, the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has encouraged Super Falcons to prove their resilience and give a good account of themselves as shining light and worthy ambassadors of our great nation.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, ably represented by the National Women Leader of APC, Dr Betta Edu, at the Send Forth Dinner of the Super Falcons in Abuja ahead of the team’s departure for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, also commended the good work of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for making sure, Nigeria stand out in global women’s football.
“As you depart for this competition, I charge you to make Nigeria proud. Always remember that we are with you and we are praying for your success. I implore our football fans and supporters too to enliven the arena with their usual passion as they have always done in the past three decades” she urged.
The FIFA Women’s World Cup is scheduled to take place over one month, starting from July 20 to Aug 20, 2023
Present at the event were the chief host, Perm. Sec Federal Ministry of Sports, Mr. Abubakar, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Shuaib, the Chairman of NFF Hon. Ibrahim Musa Guasa, NFF General Secretary.
The Full team and their coaches and a guest appearance by Football star, Ihenacho, the Ambassador of Australia, and the Ambassador of Portugal were also present with delegations from these countries.
