DStv and GOtv football fans have enjoyed unrivalled football coverage through 2021-22, but just because we are in the off-season does not mean that football content will take a back seat.

The 2021-22 campaign brought some incredible moments, including Manchester City’s success in the Premier League, Liverpool dominating the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, Real Madrid’s triumph in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, and AC Milan returning to the top of Italian football with their first Serie A title in more than a decade.

You would also have marvelled at Eintracht Frankfurt’s triumph in the UEFA Europa League, and Jose Mourinho’s typical humility in Roma winning the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League. And even when club football came to an end, the UEFA Nations League and Africa Cup of Nations qualifying competitions have continued to enthral.

With the start of the 2022-23 season – which will be punctuated by the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar – just a few weeks away, SuperSport will ensure that your appetite for football continues to be satisfied.

From the 17th of June, Your Channel of Champions will begin warming up for the big tournament in Qatar in November and December, with classic matches from past World Cup tournaments; a FIFA World Cup 2022 Magazine Show; documentaries, stories and films; and a recap of World Cup qualifiers from the UEFA zone.

And on the subject of European football, there will also be a spotlight on classic UEFA Champions League games from the past; unforgettable UEFA Europa League matches; a recap of the 2021-22 UEFA Europa Conference League; classic clashes in the European Championships – with a particular focus on Euro 2020, which saw Roberto Mancini’s Italy secure a dramatic triumph – and documentaries focusing on your favourite teams and players.

And don’t think that we’ve forgotten about the ‘big three’ domestic leagues, with plenty of recap content for the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A, as well as the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. In short, SuperSport subscribers will have plenty of ‘The Beautiful Game’ to keep them happy right up to the start of the 2022-23 season at the end of July.

Viewers on DStv and GOtv enjoy an unrivalled selection of football from around the world! Visit www.dstvafrica.com and www.gotvafrica.com to subscribe or upgrade, and join in on the excitement.
