Germany Indicates Interest In Gas As Chancellor Visits President Tinubu

Over the weekend, the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, met with the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. The visit centered on bilateral discussions of mutual benefits for Germany and Nigeria with requests for gas supply, as Nigeria reciprocates with its own demands.

It appearstthat it is the best negotiating deal for President Tinubu as it focuses on Nigeria’s areas of challenges. Dr Tunde Oseni, a Senior Lecturer, Department of Political Science, Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State, has posited that Nigeria should tap into the techno-diplomatic benefits this portends especially in the areas of democracy, clean energy, blue economy and youth entrepreneurship.

 

Gboyega Oyetola, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, is expected to develop a think-tank including policymakers from source experts for the newly created Ministry in order for it to benefit especially the youth on the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr President.
