Ward 3, Bodo City in Gokana LGA witnessed a huge harvest of defectors from the PDP to bolster their ranks in the APC.

Recieving the decampees, the LGA Party Chairman, Hon Second Bakor, congratulated them for taking the bold step early ahead of the general elections.

“I commend you for taking this bold step. Unlike where you are coming from, we give equal opportunities to everyone. Our party takes pride in the equal distribution of the dividends of democracy and I assure you can testify to this” he said.

The Leader of Ward one and South East Senatorial District Vice Chairman, Hon. Pius Kpai, also charged the PDP defectors to see themselves as part of the family and urged them go forth and bring back those who are still preparing to come over.

“You have all taken a decisive decision that would shape your future. This is a wise decision” Kpai posited.

Responding on behalf of the large decampees, Hon. Baribove Mon, former SSA Media to former CTC Chairman, Late Dum Ben, said their decision to move to the APC was a destiny of faith.

He took a swipe at the Government of Gov. Nyesom Nwike for neglecting the human capacity sector.

“Wike has continually remained insensitive in providing jobs for us the youths serving in government after all the false promises. All we see is a Government of the oligarchs while the youths have suffered for over seven years” Comrade Bove stressed further.

Another staunch supporter and woman leader of the Ward, Blessing Cameroon Birabil, said that it is payback time for the PDP.

“We have come here with our PVCs and we are going to use it against the PDP to demonstrate our anger against their ineptitude.”

Facilitator of the event and embattled former Executive Chairman of Gokana LGA under the APC and leader of the Ward, Hon. Evang. Hon. Donatus Badom (Gokana Machine), thanked the leadership of the party and the Party Chairman for joining him to witness the event assuring that the party should be prepared to receive more harvests of disillusioned members of the opposition.
