Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commended the launch of Heliconia Park – Luxury Apartments and Suites – as a significant boost to the state’s thriving hospitality sector. The high-end establishment, located in the prestigious Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island, was officially inaugurated on Sunday.
Representing the Governor at the event, the Honourable Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, described the apartment as a welcome investment that reinforces Lagos’ status as a premier destination for business and leisure.
In his remarks, Governor Sanwo-Olu underscored the rising demand for luxury accommodation in Lagos, particularly during peak tourism periods like Detty December, when the hospitality industry operates at full capacity.
He noted that Heliconia Park is a timely and strategic addition to the sector, aligning with the state’s broader vision of transforming Lagos into a world-class tourism and hospitality hub.
The Governor commended the visionaries behind the project, acknowledging the investors and management team for their confidence in Lagos as a prime location for high-value developments.
Also speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pasquale Fiore, Managing Director of Heliconia Park, applauded the Governor Sanwo-Olu administration’s investment in infrastructure and proactive policies that continue to attract global investors.
He noted that these efforts served as a key motivation for establishing Heliconia Park, which aims to set new standards in hospitality and redefine luxury experiences in Nigeria.
The grand unveiling event attracted top dignitaries and key stakeholders in the hospitality sector, including the Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe.
