Gov Soludo Interacts With Public School Principals & Head Teachers

Posted on September 24, 2023
Following a major policy pronouncement on education that now guarantees all round free education for Anambra public school students, from Nursery, Primary and Junior secondary school, Governor Soludo has moved a step further to bring public school administrators to speed with the new policy direction.

At an interactive meeting held at the International convention center, Awka, about 587 public school administrators comprising Secondary school Principals and Primary School head teachers, Mr Governor expressly restated his administration’s commitment towards providing Anambra state Basic school students with free and qualitative education. Urging them to ensure a seamless implementation of this policy as any form of infraction will lead to severe sanctions against the defaulting school administrator.
Part of the major takeaways from today’s interaction with  administrators include the immediate upward review of the monthly running cost of public Primary and Secondary schools which hitherto ranged between 800 (eight hundred) Naira to 10,000 (ten thousand) Naira depending on the school, to now 50,000 (fifty thousand) Naira monthly in the least.
The Governor further informed the School Administrators of many more reforms that are all targeted towards repositioning public schools in the State to a pride of place.
