The Imo Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has hosted the victorious unbeaten champions of Nigerian Second Division league, the Heartland FC of Owerri, which just won their promotion into the Nigeria Premier League.
The Naze Millionaires, which played without losing a single in the lower league’s fixtures, were received at the State Government House as the Governor, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, hosted the victorious team to merry making while receiving the trophies from the players and their management team.
Fans and supporters were elated with the promotion of the club side, which was inherited in disarray by the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma, which prompted their relegation to the lower league as they praised the governor’s huge investment in both human resources and motivation of the players and management team.
The Governor invested heavily in the building and resuscitation of the team to produce the Heartland FC of today, which played a whole season unbeaten as sports lovers and football enthusiasts showered encomium and praises on the governor.
