Governor Soludo’s recent visit to the Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN) was a heartfelt homecoming. What many may not know is that Soludo’s teaching career began at NOCEN.

Soludo’s passion for teaching is rooted in his decision to leave a lucrative job at a blue-chip financial consulting firm to pursue a career in academia. This bold move speaks to his laser-like focus and commitment to his goals. As he often says, “know what you want and go for it”.

As he walked the familiar halls of NOCEN, memories of his early days as a young teacher must have flooded his mind. The nostalgia was palpable, a testament to the profound impact this institution had on shaping the man he is today. For Governor Soludo, NOCEN will always be more than just a school – it’s a reminder of where his passion for teaching first took root.
