Heineken Celebrates Lagos As A Global Destination Where Fashion, Culture, And Taste Rule

Posted on October 28, 2025
In Lagos, the city of cities, where taste rules, Heineken proudly celebrates ten years of partnership with Heineken Lagos Fashion Week (LFW), a collaboration that has championed African fashion and shaped Lagos’ cultural narrative on the global stage.
The festivities of Heineken’s Lagos Fashion Week kicked off with an exclusive press cocktail  held at Nomaada, Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday, October 24.
The evening brought together designers, media personalities, and cultural tastemakers in a relaxed setting to toast to Heineken’s decade-long partnership and to set the stage for the highly anticipated 15th anniversary edition of Heineken Lagos Fashion Week.
Now, through the City of Cities: Where Taste Rules campaign, Heineken celebrates this shared legacy that connects global craftsmanship with local creativity — blending culture and innovation into one shared story of excellence.
From the runway to the bottle, it is a story built on style and sustainability.
This year’s edition, taking place from October 29 to November 2, will once again bring together the continent’s leading designers, tastemakers, and fashion enthusiasts to showcase Africa’s creativity.
What began as a sponsorship in 2015 has evolved into a strategic partnership that has empowered African designers and connected the continent’s creative industry to the world.
As title sponsor, Heineken has championed innovation, global visibility, and collaboration —supporting landmark initiatives such as the Heineken Africa Inspired Collection by Lulu Mutuli and Azra Walji, and spotlighting the best of African creativity through international showcases.
Heineken’s involvement has gone beyond the runway to shaping conversations, building bridges across continents, and ultimately fueling a movement that celebrates African originality, craftsmanship, and sustainable innovation. This enduring commitment has helped place Lagos firmly on the global fashion map.
Speaking on the 10-year collaboration, Sandra Amachree, Head of Marketing and Communications, Nigerian Breweries Plc, said, “Heineken’s partnership with Lagos Fashion Week has always been a deliberate, long-term commitment to cultural innovation. For 10 years, we have championed sustainability, supported cross-industry collaborations, and helped elevate African fashion with a lasting vision for cultural impact. We are proud of how this platform has grown and will continue to support Lagos in redefining African fashion on a global scale.”
As Heineken Lagos Fashion Week marks its 15th anniversary, Heineken raises a toast to Lagos — the City of Cities — and to the next generation of African visionaries redefining global style, from Lagos to the world.
