The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon Segun Odunmbaku, today attended Palm Sunday services at the Catholic Church of Holy Spirit, Omole and St. Jude’s Anglican Church, Omole Estate.
He joined other worshippers in celebrating the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, marking the beginning of the Holy Week.
Hon Segun Odunmbaku was warmly welcomed by the congregations and actively participated in the prayers and readings. He also joined in singing the traditional Palm Sunday hymns and listened attentively to the sermon delivered by the clergy on Christ’s simplicity and humility.
In his speeches, the chairman emphasized the significance of Palm Sunday as a day of reflection and spiritual renewal. He highlighted the need for unity, love, and peace within the community, particularly during these challenging times.
He also expressed his appreciation for their support and promised to work tirelessly with other levels of government for the development of the LCDA through several impactful policies and palliative programmes.
According to resident churchgoers, the presence of the Mayor at the Palm Sunday services demonstrated his commitment to his faith and dedication to serving the residents of the Ojodu LCDA through involvement in religious activities that help to foster a sense of community and promotes religious tolerance and understanding among the people.
