How 2 Suspected Thieves Mistakenly Fell Down From Ceiling During Operation

Police operatives from the Isheri Oshun Division of the Lagos State Command have arrested two suspected thieves after they mistakenly fell down from the ceiling at night during an operation. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspected thieves, Habeeb Yusuf, 20 and Olayide Idris, 20, suffered serious setback during an operation after one of them mistakenly fell from the ceiling while attempting to steal from one of their victim, Mrs. Ajibowo Deborah’s apartment.
The incident happened at Agbaje Street by Toluwani Bus Stop, Ijegun area of Lagos State, where the victim, Mrs. Deborah resides with her family.
 The suspects, Yusuf and Idris, were said to have used a ladder to climb through the ceiling in order to steal from her apartment.
However, during the operation, they had an accident and one of them fell inside Mrs. Deborah’s apartment and was caught while the second suspect was also held and handed over to the Police at Isheri Oshun Division for interrogation.
During interrogation, the suspects reportedly admitted to have been using the ladder to climb through the ceiling to the victims apartments to steal properties before they were eventually caught.
The Police found them culpable and subsequently charged them before the Isolo Magistrates Court for conspiracy and stealing.
When they were arraigned, they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Solomon, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.I. Williams, granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood.
The matter was adjourned while the defendants were remanded in the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
