How 3 Students & School Guard Gang-Raped Female Student

The Police operatives from Gender Section of the Lagos State Command have uncovered how three young students and school security guard gang raped an 18-year old girl at Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Victoria Island, Lagos.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 4th October, 2024 at the school premises.

 

The suspects were identified as Daniel Ogunjobi, Adepoyigi Israel, Diyan Opemiposi and the school guard,  Ayomide Williams.

 

While the trio of Ogunjobi, Israel and Opemiposi were charged for rape for having sexual intercourse with the victim, Williams was charged for sexual assault by touching her breasts and putting his finger into her private part.

 

The charges read:

That you, Daniel Ogunjobi ‘m’, Ayomide William ‘m’, Diyan Opemiposi ‘m’ and Adepoyigi tsrael ‘m’ on the 4th day of October 2024, at about 2200hours, at Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Victoria Island, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit: rape and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

 

COUNT II: That you, Daniel Ogunjobi ‘m’, Diyan Opemiposi ‘m’ and Adepoyigi Israel ‘m’, on the 4 day of October 2024, at about 2200hours, at Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Victoria Island, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did have an unlawful sexual intercourse with the victim without her consent and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 260 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria. 2015.”

 

COUNT III: That you, Ayomide William ‘m’, on the 4th day of October 2024, at about 2200hours, being a security guard at Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Victoria Island, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial, did sexually assault the victim ‘f’ by touching her breast and fingering her private part and thereby committed an offerice punishable under Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

 

The Court did not take their plea when they were arraigned after the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the nature of the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A.Owolabi, ordered their remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
