Police operatives have arrested three teenagers, who allegedly lured a 15-year old girl to a popular hotel and raped her with the aid of the hotel management in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Victoria Hotel, located at Akowonjo area of Lagos.

The suspects, Osho Pelumi, Shobayo Oluwakemi and Victor Elijah, reportedly took the girl to the hotel and lodged her in one of the rooms. While there, they stripped her naked and forcefully had sex with her one after the other.

Having satisfied themselves, they allowed her to go but warned her not to tell anyone what happened to her. But when the girl got home, she revealed what happened to her parents.

The matter was reported to the Police, who arrested the suspects and transferred them to the Gender Section of the Command for interrogation over the act.

During interrogation, they reportedly confessed to have done so after the hotel management gave them access to lodge in one of the rooms despite the fact that they were under aged boys.

The Police found them culpable and subsequently charged them before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conspiracy and defilement, which attracts several years of imprisonment if they are tried and found guilty before the Court.

When they were arraigned, the Court did not take their plea after the prosecutor, Supol Victor Eruada, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since they are minors.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M. O. Tanimola, order their remand in custody at children’s remand home and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to DPP for advice.

The matter was adjourned till 15th February, 2022, for report of the DPP to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
