How Female Employee Used Fake Dollars To Replace Madam’s Original $7000 Dollars

Police intelligence operatives from the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, have uncovered how a 21-year old employee, Miss Peace Udochukwu, alllegedly procured fake $7000 Dollars and used same to replace original Dollars kept by her Madam, Oghoro Anita. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that after stealing the Dollars, she converted it to the Naira equivalent of N7.5m, paid it into the Bank account belonging to her boyfriend, Ajechnave Ogheneakpaoho, 25, for safe keeping.

 

However, the Police arrested the suspects and charged them for their alleged conduct which took place in December, 2024.

 

According to the Police, the complainant employed the lady, Peace Udochukwu and she had the opportunity to go where the complainant kept the Dollars and replaced them with fake Dollars with the hope that she will not know.

 

Trouble started when the complainant wanted to exchange the Dollars and she was told that the Dollars were fake. She wondered what could have happened and it was her employee, Peace Udochukwu, that would have had access to the money.

 

The matter was reported to the Police at SCID. The Police operatives moved into action and arrested Peace Udochukwu and detained her for interrogation over the fake Dollars.

 

While being interrogated, she confessed and mentioned Ogheneakpaoho as her accomplice and both were charged before the Yaba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence under the Criminal law of the State.

 

Part of the charges read:

“That you, Peace Udochukwu ” and Ajechnaye Ogheneakpaoho “M” in the Month of December 2004 and within the Lagos State Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed afflence contrary to Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

 

COUNT II:”That you, Ajechanaye Ogheneakpaobo “M” in the month of December, 2024 and in the Lagos State Magisterial District, received through your bank account, the sum of N7,500,000 (Seven Million, Five Hundred Nair) only, being part of the whole $7000 (Seven Thousand United States of America Dollars), property of one Oghoro Anita, stolen by Peace Udochukwu from Oghoro Anita, her employer, and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 328 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State. 2015.”

 

COUNT III:”That you, Peace Udochukwu “F” in the month of December, 2024 and within the Lagos State Magisterial District, did steal the sum of $7000 (Seven Thousand United States of America Dollars), property of one Oghore Anita, your employer, and committed an offence contrary to the provisions of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

 

COUNT IV:”That Peace Udochukwu ” in the month of December 2024  in the Lagos State Magistacial District, did steal your employer’s $7000 (Seven Thousand United States of America Dollars), and  exchanged it with fake $7000 (Seven Thousand United States of America Dollars, and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 363 of the Criminal Law of the State 2015.”

 

However, they pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Thomas Nurudeen, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubenije, granted them bail in the sum of N2m each with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
