How Lady Hired Military Officers To Kidnap Pastor During Church Service

Pastor Mapai Samuel of the Zoe Ministry International Church, located at Odo eran area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, may have gotten what he did not bargain for after he allegedly cheated a lady, Ibukunle Oyeyemi, over an undisclosed business transactions with her.
P.M.EXPRESS reports the cheated lady, Ibikunle Opeyemi, went on revenge mission on Thursday 14th July, 2022, hired some men suspected to be Military officers and one Kadiri Jamiu, stormed the Church while Pastor Samuel was preaching during a service, abducted and detained him at an undisclosed location and demanded for ransom.
However, Pastor Samuel was rescued by the the Police operatives from the Ogun State Command while the lady behind the abduction, Ibukunle and an accomplice, Jamiu, were arrested but the Military officers reportedly escaped and are now at large.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed that the two suspects, Ibukunle and Jamiu were in Police custody undergoing interrogation over the conduct.
He explained that the suspects were arrested following a distress call received by Policemen at Aregbe Divisional Headquarters that two men, who dressed in Military camouflage, accompanied by a lady, who invaded the Church while the Pastor was preaching at about 8pm. They forcefully dragged the Pastor out of the Church and took him away to an unknown destination.
“Not quite long after taking the Pastor away, the invaders called to demand for certain amount of money as ransom.”
“Upon the distress call, the DPO Aregbe Division, CSP Ikechukwu Gabriel and his detectives quickly embarked on technical and intelligence based investigation and discovered that the suspects were hiding somewhere around Adigbe area of Abeokuta.”
“The DPO and his men, in conjunction with men of Adigbe Division, stormed the hideout where the Pastor was rescued and two of the suspects were arrested, while the two men in Military camouflage escaped.”
“On interrogation, the woman amongst them claimed to have been in a business relationship with the Pastor, and that the Pastor cheated her in the course of the business, which made her to contact the three men to kidnap the Pastor in order to teach him a lesson” Oyeyemi stated.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, who praised his men for their quick response to the distress call, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Anti Kidnapping Unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
He also directed that other members of the gang must be hunted for and brought to book for prosecution before the Court in order to serve as deterrent to others who might take such action in future.
