How Pastor Faked Kidnap To Extort N3m Ransom From Church Members

What happened recently on how a Pastor of a Church arranged for his kidnapping in order to extort N3m from Church members has revealed that kidnapping has become a lucrative business in Nigeria.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Pastor, Adegoke Odewuyi, has been arrested by the Police operatives from Ekiti State Command after he faked his kidnapping and contacted his Church members to pay him N3m as ransom.

According to Police sources, the Pastor went and lodged in a hotel for three days and from there, he started contacting his Church members to raise money for the ransom so that the purported captors will release him from captivity.

However, the Church members were said to have expressed concern and were making every efforts to facilitate his release and equally contacted the Police.

During the investigation, the Police tracked him and discovered that he was not kidnapped by anyone rather he arranged his kidnapping by lodging in a hotel in order to extort money from Church members.

In a short video released, which went viral, the Pastor, Adegoke Odewuyi, said that he actually planned his self-abduction and requested for a ransom from his Church members.

He revealed that he stayed in a hotel for three days during which he claimed that he was kidnapped. Luckily enough, the Police were able to track and arrest him.
During interrogation, he was asked why he did such, he said  that he was under spiritual attack, which made him to do so.

The Police sources said that he will be prosecuted after the conclusion of the investigation on his conduct.
