How Police Arrested 3 Suspects & Rescued Abducted Students Including FUG Staff

It was reported that in the evening of October 14, 2023, around 8:00pm, a group of armed individuals, suspected to be bandits, wielding dangerous weapons, forcefully entered a rented student residence situated on the outskirts of Sabon Garin Damba. They abducted two students and a staff of the Federal University, Gusau at gunpoint.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that in response to this distressing incident, the Zamfara State Police Command immediately activated its striking force for a thorough search and rescue operation.
It is cheering to report that the efforts of the Command have yielded a successful and positive outcome, as all the victims were rescued unharmed, while three of the abductors were apprehended while operations are still ongoing to apprehend other fleeing abductors.
The Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Shehu Dalijan (PSC FSI), has assured that the Zamfara State Police Command remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding lives and property throughout the state, including the provision of a conducive atmosphere for learning process, ensuring the safety and security of educational institutions.
The Command urged the good citizens of Zamfara State to continue supporting the efforts of the Police by providing credible and timely information concerning criminal activities. The Command reiterated that cooperation is invaluable as the operatives and the community work together to rid the state of all forms of criminality.
