How Police Stopped Mob From Burning Robbery Suspects

Two suspected armed robbers were rescued from being burnt by an angry mob as they were subsequently arrested by Police operatives attached to Sagamu Road Division, Ikorodu, Lagos.

According to the report by the Lagos State Police Spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the two suspects were 18-year old Gbolahan Adebowale and 21-year old Quadri Giwa Ajina.

The suspected armed robbers were out to rob an innocent citizen at Sabo area of Ikorodu on Wednesday 3rd February, 2021, at 1.30pm.
Their operation was foiled by the people and they were almost lynched by an angry mob in the area before they were eventually rescued by the Police and one Barretta pistol was recovered from them. 

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, said the Command will leave no stone unturned to make Lagos safe as every nooks and crannies of the state will be adequately policed.
He also ordered that the suspects should be moved to the State CID for proper investigation.
