How Security Guard Arranged Robbers To Vandalize Bank’s Vehicle

Probably, when the management of FTS Microfinance Bank employed a 39-year old man, Victor Osais Emmanuel, as their security guard in Lagos, they did not know that they had employed a suspected criminal. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Police alleged the guard, Emmanuel, to have arranged with robbers, vandalized the bank’s vehicle and carted away the brain box worth an undisclosed amount.
The incident happened on 23rd July, 2025, at ljaiye Road, Ogba, where the bank is located and he was engaged as the security personnel.
According to the Police, the guard and others now at large conspired, broke into the bank premises and stole the items while he was on duty.
However, when the management came to work and discovered what happened while he was on duty, the matter was reported to the Police at Area G Command, Ogba. The Police moved into action, arrested the suspect and detained him for interrogation.
The Police found him culpable after rounds of interrogation and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read :
Count I: “That you, Victor Osais Emmanuel (m) No-42 Abeokuta Street, off Yaya Abatan, Ogba, on the 23rd July 2025 at No-30, ljaiye Road, Ogba in Ikeja Magisterial District, being a security personnel attached to FTS Microfinance Bank situated at same address with others presently at large, broke into the bank premises at 3:30am, vandalized three Toyota saloon cars and removed their brain boxes, all power door buttons and two large traveling bags valued seven hundred and sixty thousand Naira, thereby committed an offense contrary and punishable under Section 307(2) of the criminal law of Lagos State, Nigeria 2015.”
Count Il:”That you, Victor Osais Emmanuel, ‘m’ with others at large, same address, date and time in the aforementioned magisterial district, did steal three brain boxes, front power door buttons and two large traveling bags from the three Toyota saloon car parked within FFS Microfinance Bank situated at No-30 ljaiye Road, Ogba, thereby committed an offense contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of the criminal law of Lagos state, Nigeria 2015.”
Count III:”That YOU, Victor Osais Emmanuel, ‘m’ with others at large, same address, date and time in the aforementioned magisterial district, did conspire together to vandalize three Toyota Corolla saloon cars belonging to FFS Microfinance Bank located at No. 30 ljaiye Road, Ogba, and thereby committed an offense contrary and punishable under Section 411 of the criminal law of Lagos State, Nigeria 2015.”
Count IV:”That you, Victor Osais Emmanuel, ‘m’ with others at large, same address, place and time in the forementioned magisterial district, did willfully damage the entrance gate padlock and three Toyota Corolla cars, while all the brain boxes and power door buttons belonging to FFS Microfinance Bank were maliciously removed and stolen away and thereby committed an offense contrary and punishable under Section 351 of the criminal law of Lagos State, Nigeria 2015.”
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Supol Philip Ademigbuji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted him bail with two sureties in like sum who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in correctional center at Kirikiri town pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
