Messages of congratulations have continued to pour in for the two illustrious sons of Igala, Kogi State, over the chieftaincy titles conferred on them by the Ata of Igala, HRM (Dr) Matthew Alaji Oguche Opaluwa Akpa.

While celebrating his one-year anniversary as Ata Igala and Chairman of the Kogi State Traditional Council of Chiefs, HRM Akpa honoured the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku and the Accountant General of Kogi State, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh with highly reverend chieftaincy titles.

Special Adviser, Women Affairs to the Kogi State Governor, Hon Hajia Asmau Gogo Kabir joined the league of well-wishers who are congratulating the two public officers.

Hon Gogo Kabir said both Jamiu Asuku and Jibrin Momoh are “two of our resourceful leaders, brothers, hardworking and proactive appointees of Governor Yahaya Bello-led All Progressive Congress (APC) government in Kogi State.

“They have received honour well-deserved, and titles of our great land bestowed on these gentlemen, who have done the people of Igala proud and are equally representing their land very well in the government. I strongly believe that this is a recognition to show their contributions to the socio-economic development of Igala land.

“I wish them well on these well-deserved titles bestowed on them,” Hajia Gogo Kabir said.

The Special Adviser on Women Affairs noted that she was not surprised that both the Chief of Staff to the Governor and the Accountant General could get such honour from the Royal Father, adding that the duo have stood tall in their contributions to humanity in their respective duties.

“I can only pray to the Almighty Allah to continue to grant them wisdom and blessings to do more for the people,” she said.
