Igwe Mmaduagwuna Endorses Ekwunife’s Re-election Bid As She Storms Awba-Ofemili

The Senator began her tour of the community with a visit to the palace of the traditional ruler, HRH Igwe Alex Ezekwesili Mmaduagwuna to appreciate him and the people of the community for their support in the previous elections, officially inform them her intention to seek their mandate to return to the Senate as well as highlight her achievements in the community.

Welcoming the Senator, the Monarch thanked the Lawmaker for the visit, adding that Ekwunife is the only federal Lawmaker who has remembered the community. Igwe Mmaduagwuna lauded Ekwunife for her consistent support to the community through impactful projects and programmes.

While endorsing the Lawmaker, Igwe Mmaduagwuna highlighted the construction of solar borehole with overhead tank at progressive school Awba Ofemili as a very important project, adding that the project provides essential services and good drinking water in the School, assuring the Senator that the community will support her to consolidate on her achievements at the National Assembly.

Addressing the Monarch, Ekwunife extolled the traditional ruler for his peaceful reign, adding that Awba Ofemili is so dear to her because of the rich potentials in the community. She appealed to the community to support her as a ranking Senator who has performed creditably well to consolidate on her achievements.

The quintessential Lawmaker maintained that she has impacted positively on the community through her Projects notable as the supply of school materials at Community secondary school and Central School Awba Ofemili, supply of 2 tricycles, construction of Borehole with overhead tank at progressive school Awba Ofemili, free medical outreach and distribution of free drugs to the community, provision of solar street lights, facilitation of Federal Government grants and pensionable jobs to the youths of Awba Ofemili, amongst others.

From the Igwe’s palace, Ekwunife and her entourage proceeded to Obodoezike Village Square where the Lawmaker interacted with thousands of Awba Ofemili people amidst cheers.

On the Senator’s entourage were the former Chairman ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo, Former PDP State Chairman, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu, Former Commissioner of Lands, Survey and Urban Planning, Hon. Kenneth Enemuo, Former Commissioner for Commerce, Chief Kenneth Arinze amongt others.
