JELS Bags Nomination For Liberian Diaspora Awards 2020

Jels J. Rue better known as Jels Quiah has been listed as one of the nominees for the LIBERIAN DIASPORA AWARDS 202O.

He was nominated in two of the award categories, “Collaboration Of The Year” for his single UNCTION ft Davido, Ice Prince & Walshy and “Diaspora Artiste Of The Year”.

The single UNCTION was released on 18 July 2020.

The Liberian Diaspora Awards is an annual award ceremony that celebrates and recognizes works, achievements and accomplishments of Liberians living in the Diaspora.

The nominees with the highest number of votes will be declared winner.

Voting is powered by Straw Poll and has since commenced on their website.

Eligible votes will be collated and verified by them when voting closes on the 18 November 2020.

This year’s edition will be held on November 28 where winners will be presented with their award plaques.

Jels, who relocated to the United States in 2002 as a refugee escaping the Liberian civil war, said this nomination is a welcome development and the recognition has shown him that hard work always pays even when you think nobody is paying attention.
