A jilted 22-year old man, Tomiwa Aliu, has vented his anger on a lady, Nurdeen Taibat, by allegedly engaging her in a public fight in Lagos State and biting off the lady’s ear in the process.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Olayiwola Taiwo Estate in Alagbado area of Lagos, where they reside.

Police operatives from the Alagbado Division have arrested the suspect, Aliu, over the alleged conduct.
The Police alleged that Aliu had a frosty relationship with the lady and had been targeting her in order to take his pound of flesh.
The opportunity did not come until he had disagreement with her, which led to a public fighting between them. During the fight, Aliu reportedly held her head closer to his mouth, bit off part of her ear and it fell to the ground.
She was said to have bled profusely and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where doctors treated her but were unable to fix the ear back, which inflicted permanent injury on her.

The matter was then reported to the Police at Alagbado Division. The suspect, Aliu, fled but was later arrested. He was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
When he was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Kenrich Nomayo, then asked the Court to give a short adjournment for hearing to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. O. Fajana, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
He was remanded in custody at the Correctional Centre, Kirikiri town, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
