The much-anticipated Kidsport Charity Cup Season 13 kicks off on 2 December 2023 at the Campos Sports Centre, Lagos Island.

This was disclosed by the founder and coordinator of Kidsport Charity Cup, Mrs Bukola Alabi while addressing journalists on Friday in Lagos.

She revealed that the one-day event would not only witness football, other sporting activities such as ludo, basketball e-sports, sack race, scrabble and other side attractions would be included in the event.

She explained further that six orphanage football teams, four football academies and four secondary schools would participate in the competition sponsored by KingMakers.

“We are looking forward to this year’s edition and I am happy that this competition has attracted sponsorship from various corporate bodies. I want to thank our sponsors and partners for their support towards this year’s edition and I believe that this year’s event would live up to expectations.

“This competition has unified the kids among orphanage homes and other participants since we started some years ago, and it gives me joy to organise such competition to make the kids discover their talents and bring them to the limelight,” she said.

Managing Director of KingMakers, Gossy Ukanwoke, noted that the company is happy to associate itself with the kids in Lagos, even as he urged all the participants to play the game according to the rules and regulations.

Meanwhile, six Orphanage Homes are expected to feature in the football event. The participating Homes are Street 2 School, SOS Isolo, SOS Owu, Project Friendship Initiative, Habitation of Hope, and Citadel of Grace.
