A 26-year old lady, Oladipupo Monsurat, has been arrested for allegedly intimidating her landlord, Sarumi Abiodun, chasing him away with powerful charms and illegally taking possession of the house in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports the incident happened at Abiodun Sarumi Street, Igando area of Lagos.
She was said to have brought the charms from an undisclosed place, mixed them with other substances, poured around the compound. The landlord fled and she locked up the gate of the house.
The landlord was said to have fled and went in search of solution on how to recover his property. He then went to the Police Station at Igando Division, reported his predicament to the DPO and solicited for his assistance.
Thus, the Police arrested the lady, Monsurat and charged her before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and locking out her landlord from his house.
She pleaded not guilty when she was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Benedict Aigbokhan, did not object to her being granted bail, rather he asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
However, the landlord, Abiodun, later informed the Court that the defendant has accepted to leave the house and allow him to take back possession while stating his intention to withdraw the matter since they have made peace.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.K. Ariyo, consequently struck out the matter.
