Lady, 29, Docked For Stealing N3.3m At Popular Solochus Palace Hotel

A 29-year old lady,  Igbokwe Adama, has landed in trouble for allegedly stealing over N3.3m from a man, Chike Chukwu, at Solochus Palace Hotel in Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Adama, has been arrested and charged for stealing under the Criminal Laws of the State.
The incident happened at the hotel between October and December, 2024 at Ologunfe, Ikotun, Lagos.
According to the Police, the suspect was arrested after the owner,  Mr. Chukwu, disclosed that the money was missing and he reported to the Ikotun Police Division and they detained the suspect at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct.
After interrogation, the Police found her culpable and consequently charged her before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
The charge read:
“That you, Igbokwe Adama “f” between October and December, 2024 at Solochus Palace Hotel, Ologunfe, Ikotun, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did steal the sum of N2,312,307.000 property of one Chike Chukwu “m” and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287(7), of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.”
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Benedict Aigbokhan, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The matter was adjourned till 3rd March, 2025, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
