LGA Town Hall Meeting: Isiala Mbano Is APC Compliant

According to Cajetan Duke, the State Publicity Secretary, with more than 15 support groups and various youths as well as women organizations, who thronged to the Township Secondary School, Umuelemai, the venue was not only electrified but was also turbocharged for the event of the day.

The Imo State Chairman of the party, Sir MacDonald Ebere, Ph.D, in his opening address, just as he has been doing in his previous remarks, reminded his audience of the essence and importance of the town hall meeting.

According to him, “We are here for you. To know how you are doing. To understand and appreciate your progresses and challenges”.

“Before I proceed, let me ask you this all important question: will APC win in 2023? Will APC win Isiala Mbano in all levels of the 2033 elections?”

“As I indicated earlier, the Imo State APC leaders and other stakeholders are here today with you to know you better. It is a town hall meeting. Therefore, it is an interactive session where we talk to you, giving you goodwill messages from our number one leader and performing governor,  Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, and on the other hand, you tell us your challenges and problems.”

“Again, we want to extract an assurance from you that Isiala Mbano is for Governor Uzodimma and APC through and through. This is our mission and it is aimed at strengthening and preparing our great party in readiness for the 2023.”

Clapping, cheering and in state of conviviality, the mood was set for the business of the day.

In his welcome remarks, the Isiala Mbano LGA APC Chairman, Sir Cyriacus Obichendu (Onyeoma CY) welcomed the party leaders for coming to the locality. He assured that APC would vote for all the party’s candidates in the coming elections.

Presenting his speech, the Sole Administrator of the council, High Chief Joe Frank Ijemezie, remarkably observed that Isiala Mbano was APC branded. He said, “We are APC branded here. We complete and comprehensive. What makes us unique is that in Mbano we have utility politicians who have the capacity to turn half chances into total victory. Therefore, we are going to deliver APC all the way”.

In what appeared as the highlight of the day, the House of Assembly candidate, Comrade Sam Osuji, who used songs, hymns and solidarity slogans to deliver his message as he was urged on by his hugely mobilized supporters, indicated that Governor Uzodimma had demonstrated tremendous love to the people of Okigwe zone and by extension, Isiala Mbano LGA, through the reconstruction of Amaraku – Amaozari Road as well as giving youth and women empowerment to the people of the area. In view of that, he assured that APC would win in Mbano Local Government Area in the 2023 elections.

In a voice laden with a motherly care and affection, the Commissioner of Local Government Affairs, Mrs. Rubi Emele, recounted all the good work of Uzodimma and explained the reasons he deserved massive support from the people of the area in particular and Imolites in general.

The House of Reps candidate for Okigwe North Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha (Nwanyi bu ihe), who was adequately represented by her campaign DG, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the party for their visit, and reassured on behalf of her people, the guaranteed success of the party in the forthcoming general elections in Isiala Mbano.

Also speaking, the Imo North Senatorial candidate for APC, Engr. Patrick Ndubueze, revealed that Okigwe zone had agreed to vote for all the candidates of the ruling party in the elections. He recalled that the government of Governor Uzodimma had put various projects in place in Okigwe that the people of the area must vote for him and APC.

He specifically mentioned School of Engineering, College of Education as well as the rehabilitation of the Owerri – Okigwe Road as some of the hallmark projects of Uzodimma in Okigwe zone. He called on the people to vote for APC.
