Man, 29, Defiles Neighbour’s 7-year Old Daughter

A 7-year old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by their 29-year old neighbour after he lured her into his room with biscuits, forcefully penetrated her private part and injured her in the process in Anambra State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Aniche Street, Okpoko area of Ogbaru Local Government area in Anambra State where they reside.

This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed, in Awka, the State capital.

In a statement, Mohammed said that the Police at Okpoko Division arrested one Ogbu Christian, male, 29, a native of Mboshi in Igboeze North LGA of Enugu State but resides at Aniche Street Okpoko, Anambra State.

Mohammed said: “Suspect allegedly lured his neighbour’s daughter aged 7years old and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her inside his room using biscuit as a bait”.
“Police detectives visited the scene and took the victim to the hospital for medical examination, where penetration was confirmed by the medical doctor.”

He said that the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation as directed by the Commissioner of Police, CP John Abang. The suspect will be charged to Court for prosecution after the conclusion of investigations.

The suspect risks life imprisonment if the Police finds culpable, charges him before the Court and he is found guilty after trial.
