A 35-year old man, Ugo Emmanuel, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for taking advantage and engaging a 12-year old girl in marathon sex and asked her not to tell anyone while the act lasted.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Emmanuel, was eventually caught in the act on 30th May, 2022 and handed over to the Police for prosecution over the alleged defilement, which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
The incident happened at Ileje Street, Kirikiri town area of the Lagos State, where Emmanuel reside with the girl’s parents.
According to Police sources, the suspect, Emmanuel, had on several occasions lured the girl to his apartment when the parents had gone to work and engaged her severally in the act.
However, he was later caught by neighbours, who raised alarm and confronted the girl’s parents before she confessed that Emmanuel had been doing it to her severally but asked her not to tell anyone about it.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area and Emmanuel was arrested. He was later transferred to the SCID, Yaba, for further investigation over the conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ebute Metta Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
When he was arraigned, the Court denied him bail and as well did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Paul, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.M. Ajayi, ordered his remand in the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when the DPP’s report will be ready and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned pending the outcome of DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
