A 36-year old man, Idowu Idowu, has landed in trouble in Lagos State after he allegedly lured a 15-year old girl into a sex romp having gotten her confused by fondling her breasts and she fell into the act.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Kajola Street, Ladi-Lak, Bariga area of  Lagos, where they reside.

The suspect, Idowu, has been arrested by the Police for the alleged defilement.

The Police alleged Idowu to have lured the girl into his apartment, confused her with words of mouth and then fondled her breasts. She became more confused and could not resist his moves before he sexually penetrated her.

However, when she realized herself, she raised an alarm and the matter was reported to the Police, which prompted the arrest of Idowu by operatives from Bariga Division for interrogation over the act.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found Idowu culpable as the girl told the Police that she did not consent to the act. He was subsequently charged before the Yaba Magistrates Court for the alleged defilement.

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Thomas Nurudeen, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the victim is still a minor.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P.E. Nwaka, ordered his remand in custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice while the defendant will remain in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s report.

The matter may likely be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds the defendant culpable and recommends his trial for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment. But that will be after trial and if he is found guilty before the Court.
