A 40-year old man, Friday Ogbu, has been arrested in Lagos State or allegedly luring and engaging a 15-year old girl in a sex romp after fondling her breasts and getting her confused in the process.

The suspect was said to have repeatedly between 2018 and 2022 abused the girl. One of the ways he used to trap her was to target, fondle her breasts, get her confused and unable resist the temptation.

He was said to have done that for several years before the girl exposed him as she informed her parents what had been happening to her.

The matter was reported to the Police at Isokoko Division and the suspect, Ogbu was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over the alleged act.

During interrogation, he was said to have admitted to have slept with her but with her consent severally over the years but the girl denied she consented to sexual moves.

The Police found him culpable for rape because she is still a minor and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.

When he was arraigned, the prosecutor, Supol Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the victim is still a minor, in order to determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court over jurisdiction.
