Man, 44, Docked Over S*x With  Daughter, 16

A 44-year old man, Mustapha Abiodun, has been arrested in Lagos State for allegedly engaging his 16-year old biological daughter in sex romp for nine months. 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the alleged dastardly act was committed at Ojo Crescent, Ajegunle toll gate area of Lagos, where they reside. 

The Police alleged the suspect, Abiodun, to have engaged the daughter in the act  between April till December, 2021 and had wanted to continue the act this year before the victim exposed him and revealed what she has been passing through in the hands of her father. 

The matter was reported to the Police in the area and he was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for interrogation over the act. 

During the interrogation, he reportedly admitted to have done so having been tempted by an evil spirit. 

The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement, which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court. 

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor,  DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice due to the nature of the case. 
The Presiding Magistrate,  Mrs. E. Kubeinje, ordered him to be remanded in custody pending the outcome of the DPP advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP. 

The matter was adjourned till 3rd May, 2022, for report of the DPP to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
