Man, 45, Arraigned Over Anal Sex With Neighbour’s Boy, 10

A 45-year old man, Farouk Abubakar, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s 10-year old boy by penetrating his anus in order to satisfy his sexual desires.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 8th June, 2025 at Olatunbosun Street, Beesam, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim to his apartment and inserted his dick into his anus in order to satisfy his sexual desires. And having satisfied himself, he allowed the victim to go.
However, the victim later told his parents about what happened and the matter was reported to the Police at Makinde Division. The suspect was then arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over his alleged dastardly conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
“That you, FAROUK ABUBAKAR ‘m’ on the 8th day of June, 2025 at about 1000hrs al Olatunbosun Street, Beesam, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos State, in Ikeja Magisterial District, did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace by luring one boy ‘m’ aged 10 years for the purpose of having canal Knowledge of him and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 168 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, FAROUK ABUBAKAR ‘m’ on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did indecently assault one boy ‘m’ aged 10 years by unlawfully inserting your dick into his anus with the intention to have canal knowledge of him without his consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 261 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
