A 56-year old randy man, Clement Ejindu, has gotten what he did not bargain for after he picked a 35-year old lady, Miss Promise Abori, on the road, she died inside his car, he dumped her corpse by the road side but was caught.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Diamond Estate along Igando Road in Igando area of Lagos.

The suspect reportedly brought the corpse, dumped by the road side and drove off but those present, who saw what happened, contacted the Police at Igando Division. He was arrested and taken to the scene where the corpse was deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report.

He was subsequently transferred to the SCIID, Panti, Yaba, over the suspicious murder of the victim which attracts life imprisonment if he is found culpable, tried and found guilty before the Court.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the suspect had denied that he killed the lady saying he only picked her along the road to an undisclosed location before she slumped and died.
He was said to have told the Police that he dumped her and drove off because he does not know any of her family members and did not want to involve the police because of the kind of trouble he was facing now.

During investigation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ebute Metta Magistrates Court for dumping the corpse by the road side.
He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Cozy Adams, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Bola Folari Williams, granted him bail and he was remanded in Correctional Centre pending when he will perfect his bail conditions and possible DPP’s advice.
The matter was adjourned but the Court was unable to sit due to the Covid-19 lockdown and so the hearing was stalled.
