Man Behe*ds Wife & Daughter, Throws Inside Gutter

The Police have arrested a man, Michael Adunola, who allegedly used a sharp cutlass to behead his wife, Esther and their 14 months old daughter, Gloria, then cut off their hands and threw them inside the gutter.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened in Ile-Ife, Osun State, where they reside. 

The suspect was later arrested and arraigned before the Magistrate Court in Ile-Ife for killing his wife, Esther and their 14 months old baby, Gloria.
He is now facing murder charge which attracts life imprisonment or death by hanging for the dastardly act of homicide by willfully killing the helpless victims.

In the charge, the Police alleged that the suspect, Micheal, killed his wife and child by beheading them and equally cutting off their hands. The headless bodies of the victims were discovered in a gutter opposite the AUD Primary School, Isale, Agbara, in Ile-Ife sometime in May. Investigations carried out prompted the Police to arrest Micheal Adunola and a lady accomplice, Atinuke Olawoyin.

The prosecutor, Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the Court that investigations carried out revealed that Adunola killed his wife and baby on May 23, 2020, around 12noon with the help of a friend.

The Presiding Magistrate, Muhibah Olatunji, declined the pleas of the accused persons and denied him bail after ordering him to be remanded in prison custody.He asked the prosecutor to duplicate the case file and send a copy to the office of the Director of Public Prosecution at the State’s Ministry of Justice for legal advice.

Magistrate Muhibah ordered the remanding of the accused persons in Ilesa Nigerian Correctional Center, and equally adjoined the case to  28th July, 2020, for the report of DPP’s advice to be available.The matter may likely be transferred to the High Court if the DPP’s report finds him culpable and recommends his trial for murder.
