A 32-year old man, Ahmed Salamon has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly assaulting a female neighbour, Favour John by inflicting injury on her with bites.
The incident happened at Joseph Street in Ejigbo, Lagos where both the suspect and the victim reside.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the injury on Favour’s face and hand were so severe as part of her skin was bitten off.
She was rushed to a hospital where she is undergoing treatment and surgery.
Our correspondent gathered that the fight which has become a subject of discussion in the neighbourhood, started after Salamon and Favour had disagreement over an undisclosed matter.
During the fight, Salamon had thought it would be an easy one, but he faced resistant from Favour who was said to have had an upper hand.
According to their neighbours, when the fighting became unbearable for Salamon, he decided to save himself by bitting Favour’s face and hand which caused her deep injury.
While Favour was taken to the hospital, the matter was reported to the police at Ejigbo division who arrested Salamon and charged him to court.
At the Ejigbo Magistrates’ court where he was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola granted Salamon bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Salamon was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 7 June 2017.
