Man Who Killed Brother Over N1000 Moved To SCID

A man, Ibrahim Dauda, who allegedly killed his 27-year old brother, Tunde Dauda, during a fight over N1000 in Igando area of Lagos, has been transferred to the Homicide Department of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Yaba, Lagos. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on Sunday,  29th January, 2023, when they engaged in a heated argument over N1,000 at their residence on Amusa Street, off Community Road, Obadore area of Lagos State.
The suspect, Ibrahim, was arrested and detained by the Police at Igando Division, who has now transferred him to the SCID for further investigation over the alleged murder.
According to an eyewitness, the argument between the two brothers degenerated into fighting and in the process, Ibrahim ran into the house and reached for an iron rod. He hit Tunde on the forehead, he fell down and lost consciousness.
He was rushed to the Igando General Hospital but was confirmed dead before his corpse was evacuated to Mainland General Hospital for autopsy.
When P.M.EXPRESS contacted the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, he could not be reached by the reporter and he was yet to make any statement as regards the incident.
However, at the Igando Police Division, where the suspect was arrested and detained, the DPO could not be reached as the reporter was told that he went on routine monitoring in the area. But sources at the station said that the suspect has been transferred to the SCID Yaba on the order of the Commissioner of Police.
