Meet Amasenibo (Hon) Engr. Abinye Blessing Pepple JP, Member River State House Of Assembly, Bonny Constituency

Sound, proactive, articulate, youthful and useful House Member representing Bonny Constituency at the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Abinye Blessing Pepple, has become a recurring decimal in the political discuss of Rivers State as he represents dynamism, new hope, and a new era in democratic representation ever since assumption of office in 2015.

Born 9th December, 1977, into the family of Amaopusenibo Blessing Pepple of Jack-Wilson Pepple Dynasty in Bonny Ancient Kingdom. 

Because of his parents penchant for  education, the young Abinye Blessing Pepple was enrolled into the premier Government Primary School Bonny;  where he bagged his First School Leaving Certificate. With his sterling performance in Primary School as a bright student, he proceeded to the famous Bonny National Grammar School for Senior Secondary studies.

Thereafter, he was admitted into the renowned and prestigious Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), where he meticulously studied  Chemical Engineering and successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng).

Amasenibo (Hon.) Engr. Abinye Blessing Pepple, JP, while in tertiary institution was a dogged and consummate student unionist, who grew through the rank and file in students’ union politics having served in a number of capacities as a  student union leader.

His intelligence and social dispositions also spanned through various political appointments and his passion to serve his people publicly made him embark on a political career, where amid hurdles and challenges, he is currently a Member of the Rivers State House of Assembly representing Bonny Constituency for a second term. 

Given to his robust, proactive,  effectiveness and people -oriented representation, he was handed a traditional title of “Amasenibo” by His Majesty King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, JP, Perekule XI, Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Ancient Grand Bonny Kingdom. 

Aside being Chairman House Committee on Power and belonging to other Committees at the Rivers State House of Assembly, his track record, milestones and laudable achievements as a lawmaker and representative of the good people of Bonny State  Constituency included but not limited to:

✓  Construction and equipping of world class Bonny Fire Station, soon to be commissioned as a Constituency Project.

✓  Ongoing construction of state-of-the-art and first of its kind Secretariat for National Union of Bonny Students (NUBS) Worldwide, a Constituency Project.

✓  Annual  disbursement of N4,000,000 for Bonny Constituency undergraduates Bursary Scheme.

✓ Annual provision, distribution and registration of JAMB, GCE and WAEC forms to the mass of the members of Bonny State Constituency 

✓ Sponsorship and award of scholarship to Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and Post graduate students in Bonny; including non-indigenes.

✓  Sponsorship of various bills and motions on the floor of the House.

✓  Strategic oversight functions and visible legislative deliverables.

✓ Sponsoring of off-shore/marine training for youths of Bonny Constituency at Charkins Maritime Academy.

✓ Ongoing reconstruction of Agaja Market at Finima Community; another Constituency Project.

✓  Organising the First Bonny Constituency Town Hall Meeting, an avenue for brainstorming and strategic partnership  with his people.

✓  Initiated Bonny Constituency preparatory class programme.

✓  Sponsoring of Annual King & Queen of Mathematics Competition for primary and secondary schools, winners are automatically included in his scholarship scheme.

✓ Organising of First and Second Edition of Bonny Constituency Football Tournament, where millions of Naira is doled out to the winner and second runner-up.

✓ Empowerment funds to over 150 aged and elders in Bonny Constituency.

✓  Distribution of hundreds of wheelchairs to persons with disability in Bonny Constituency.

Amasenibo (Hon.) Engr. Abinye Blessing Pepple is a responsible family man;  a respected community leader, a soldier of Christ and most youth-friendly legislator: to that extent that all who have come in close contact with him acknowledge his disarming charm, his geniality and warm friendliness.

In him we see a man, agreeable, loyal, debonair and warm-hearted; a man modest in demeanour and humble in spirit, with a most winning smile and most affable manner.

Graciously, Amasenibo (Hon.) Engr. Abinye Blessing Pepple is happily married to his lovely wife and has three kids.
