Music And Games Festival Draws Massive Student Turnout At UNILAG

Posted on July 8, 2025

On Friday, July 4, 2025, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Sports Complex was transformed into a grand celebration of student energy, talent, and entertainment.

Hosted by popular hypeman and UNILAG alumnus, Big Bimi, the festival brought together thousands of students for a night that delivered nonstop excitement, from the first beat to the final moment on stage.

Live performances from rising stars like Shoday, and Fola had the crowd singing along, while DJs Titanium, Therapy, Tohbahd, Maze X Mxtreme, and Bigwswagz kept the tempo high with electrifying sets.

Dancers thrilled the audience with fast-paced routines, and the presence of skit makers Trench Boy and Olu Chaze added to the vibrant atmosphere.

Students made the most of it, dancing in circles, filming videos, and showing off their unique styles throughout the venue.

More than just a music and games show, the event reflected how today’s students are finding new ways to enjoy, connect, and express themselves. It was a social playground, filled with social media-worthy moments, coordinated squad entries, and plenty of on-the-spot content creation.

MTN Nigeria’s interactive stand added even more spark to the experience. Brightly set up and buzzing with activity, the booth became a favourite spot for students to unwind, participate in games, and record dance videos at the Wow Booth.

MTN-branded hand fans also offered a fun, practical touch in the Lagos heat. Students also received branded headsets and power banks. The space gave students a place to be part of the action, not just as attendees, but as active creators.

The brand’s involvement also reflected its continued support for student-driven platforms that highlight creativity, self-expression, and digital engagement.

For the UNILAG student body, it was more than just a great night, it was a reminder of the power of student-led moments to bring joy, excitement, and real community to campus life.
