The President, Nigeria Judo Federation (NJF), Dr Musa Oshodi, has said that judokas representing the country at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games are in good and energetic spirit with readiness to make the federation and Nigeria very proud.

Oshodi, who is currently with the team in Birmingham, United Kingdom, said the judokas who made the team are responsible, dedicated, desirous and fabulous.

According to him,”Our primary goal, under my watch, is to return Nigeria judo back to the global reckoning. We have medal hopefuls among the judokas. Though it has been very long Nigeria participated at international stage, I want to assure that we are here to make a statement,” said Oshodi, who is also a former judoka and official.

The NJF boss continued, “We are planning to attend as many as feasible, international championships I. The course of our administration and also this year,  we are proposing to attend two Africa Open Championships and World Championships. We can only achieve these desires if we have a solid economic base, therefore we will like to use this medium to call on well meaning individuals and corporate organisations to come to our aid. We have medal hopes that are not push over in the judo world,” he said.
