In just two weeks, Chinua Achebe Airport in Umueri will officially expand its operational capabilities to include nighttime landings for aircraft. This is a crucial development for the airport, allowing it to accommodate air traffic around the clock and improving accessibility for travelers.

The introduction of nighttime operations, by Soludo’s administration, follows extensive preparations and approval for the installation of airfield lighting to ensure the highest safety standards for both pilots and passengers. Ndi Anambra and air travelers are confident that this expansion will lead to increased flight options, stimulate local tourism, and boost the state’s economy by attracting more airlines.

As the airport prepares for this new chapter, Governor Soludo is encouraging passengers and airlines to take advantage of the enhanced services, promoting Umueri as a vibrant destination. With these improvements, Chinua Achebe Airport is set to join the ranks of modern airports that meet the demands of today’s travelers.
