Nkpor Community Receives Ekwunife Amidst High Ovation

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate for the zone, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, January 12, 2023, took her message of consolidation to Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Ekwunife, who was joined by the member representing Idemili North and South federal constituency, Rt. Hon Obinna Chidoka, commenced her campaign in the community with a visit to the President General, Chief Innocent Mbagha, Ndi Ichie and traditional title men to appreciate them for their support in the 2019 elections and officially inform the Nkpor Town Union of her ambition to return to the Senate and consolidate her good works.

Welcoming the Senator, the President General, Chief Innocent Mbagha thanked the Senator and her entourage for the visit adding that Ekwunife is a respected Lawmaker in Nigeria. He noted that the Federal Lawmaker has done along in the community highlighting the ongoing construction of Nkpor-Tarzan junction road as one of her projects in the community.

Speaking further, Chief Mbagha stated that the community will support the PDP Senatorial candidate because of her outstanding performances, adding that Nkpor is a community known for their reward and gratitude.

Responding, the Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation began by appreciating the community for their immeasurable support in the previous elections, adding that she has passion for Nkpor having lived in Awada. The respected Lawmaker appealed to the community to support her re-election because she will be in a better position to attract more dividends of democracy to the zone.

Speaking further, the grassroots-friendly lawmaker stated that government projects are based on considerations and appealed to the community to vote for someone who has passion for development than candidates without track records. She listed some of her achievements in the community including the supply of school materials at Technical and Central School Nkpor, Supply of 2 tricycles, Ongoing construction of New Tarzan junction/Akuzo road Nkpor, rehabilitation of a 3km road in Odume amongst others.

From the residence of the President General, Ekwunife proceeded to Oba Nkpor square where she interacted with the people of Nkpor amidst chants and cheers.
