Obasa Lights Up Literacy Program In Agege LG With Nigeria Chess Icon Star Tunde Onakoya

The Agege Local Government led by the Executive Chairman, Hon Vinod Ganiyu Obasa hosted a literacy program for the Nursery and Primary Schools in Agege, a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening early learning and academic development among our young learners.

A special highlight of the event was the presence of Nigerian top chess player and coach Dr. Tunde Onakoya, who engaged the students in an exciting Chess Session; reinforcing the power of strategic thinking, discipline, and intellectual growth.

Tunde Onakoya, who holds the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon chess game, is the founder and convener of Chess in Slums Africa. He has organised a number of interventions for children across slums in Lagos state including Majidun (Ikorodu), Makoko and recently, Oshodi.
