Any man who has embraced accountability is a man worthy of respect and honour. Sadly, many of our politicians have totally disregarded that all-important virtue.

Well, not Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, who, right from his days at CBN, built a reputation for financial prudence, transparency, and results-driven leadership, integrity and accountability. Unlike many who see public office as a chance to build a business empire, Soludo has consistently placed service over self, ensuring that every penny and every project under his watch is accounted for.

It is this same culture of accountability that led him to take the bold step of completing Anambra’s first Government House and Lodge, not for prestige, but for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and long-term governance stability.

For 34years, Anambra remained the only southeastern state without a permanent Government House and lodge, forcing successive administrations to operate from makeshift offices and lodge. Beyond the inconvenience, this lack of proper infrastructure weakened administrative efficiency, and sent the wrong signal about the state’s governance priorities.

While others overlooked this gap, Soludo understood that governance should not be a cycle of temporary fixes but a foundation for lasting and sustained progress. Rather than continue the patchwork approach, he made the decisive move to build a permanent seat of power worthy of Anambra’s status.

The new Government House and Lodge is not just a structure; it is a strategic investment that will:
