Ogun APC Carpets Akinlade Over Name Dropping

Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Tuesday evening advised the 2019 governorship candidate of Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the state, Hon. Adekunle Akinlade, to stop name dropping in respect of Ogun APC.
The state party, which described Akinlade and his co-travellers as ‘serial complainants,’ said President Buhari does not support party indiscipline and disloyalty, adding that this informed why the sponsor of APM was suspended after his followers allegedly hurled dangerous objects at the President and other dignitaries during the presidential rally at MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, on February 11, 2019.
It added that with Akinlade, his sponsor and co-travellers, the political chicken has finally come home to roost, urging him to fully walk his talk, along with his band of supporters, to return to the APC after alleged failed bids to seize the party structure in Ogun State via illegal “Congresses” and a surfeit of petty petitions.

The party, which was reacting to a statement credited to the former House of Representatives member that the APM had ceased to exist in Ogun State after he led his loyalists and stakeholders back to the APC in December 2019, noted that the Ipokia born politician, “his sponsor and cohorts are yet to congratulate Chief Yemi Sanusi” who had been confirmed and inaugurated by the party at the national level as the Chairman of APC in Ogun State.
This was contained in a release on Tuesday by the Ogun State APC Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye.
The APC commended Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola popularly called YAYI for setting free the alleged former political captives in Ipokia Local Government Area by people it described as “habitual petitioners.”
It said Senator Adeola should be commended for that deft political initiative while also urging him to redouble his efforts in making all those that had been deceived in Ipokia to know the truth and set them free.
