The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, has officially presented the proposed Year 2025 Budget to the Legislative Council at the Council Chamber.

The budget, aptly themed “People-Centered Budget: Combating Inflation and Empowering Communities,” demonstrates the administration’s commitment to tackling economic challenges while empowering local communities.

The event, chaired by the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Opeyemi Apatira, brought together key stakeholders, including council executives, traditional rulers, community leaders, and representatives of various interest groups. This presentation fulfilled the constitutional mandate to incorporate legislative input into fiscal planning, ensuring the budget reflects the needs of Ojodu LCDA residents.

Highlighting the N6.596 billion budget, Hon. Odunmbaku reaffirmed his administration’s focus on the four-point H.E.Y.S agenda—Health, Education, Youth and Women Empowerment, and Social and Infrastructural Development. He outlined plans to upgrade health centers, empower vulnerable groups, enhance security through vehicle procurement for the police, and optimize revenue collection for expanded fiscal capacity.

In his remarks, Hon. Opeyemi Apatira praised the Chairman’s people-focused leadership and the synergy between the Executive and Legislative arms, which has enhanced governance efficiency. He also commended Engr. Bunmi Akintoye, the Council Manager, for her outstanding contributions to staff welfare and operational excellence.

The session, attended by dignitaries, including the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, and APC LGA Chair, Alhaja Stella Kokumo, ended on an optimistic note, with stakeholders expressing confidence in the administration’s vision for 2025.
