Omotoso, AIG Fayoade, Others To Speak At ORAN 4th Anniversary

All is now set for the 4th Anniversary & Lecture of the Online Reporters Association of Nigeria, ORAN scheduled to hold on Thursday, 14th November 2024 at the Conference Room of Lagos State Ministry Of Information Secretariat, Alausa Ikeja, Lagos.

Expected guests at the anniversary and lecture are Honourable Commissioner For Information & Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso; Permanent Secretary, Ministry Of Information & Strategy, Mr Michael Olumide Sogunle; Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2 Onikan Lagos State, AIG Adegoke Fayoade and Mr Solanke Olamide Abdulfatah.

On the preparedness and readiness put in place for the anniversary, and also the importance of the lecture at a time like this, President of the association, Mr Adegbola Tijani Shehu disclosed that ORAN is working assiduously as a team to make sure the event is held successfully.

“Our members are working harmoniously for the success of this event. We are very optimistic that the event will be memorable. There are lots to take out,” Adegbola said.

He added that New Media will be the main focus as the World has transformed to digital marketing.

His words; “As Digitalization is the core area of discourse, Journalists should explore this opportunity. Lots of people will benefit from these digital platforms,” Adegbola added.

The topic to be discussed is ” Positive Effects Of Digitalization In New Era Journalism” and it will be analysed by the Commissioner, Omotoso while AIG Fayoade will speak on “Increase in Youth Engagement in National Security”, with Digital Marketing expert, Solanke dissecting the topic “Aids of Digital Marketing in Online Journalism” respectively.
