ONC Honours CSP Appah Abraham With Award Of Excellence

Notable Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, has honoured the Divisional Police Officer of Egi Divisional Headquarters, CSP Appah T. Abraham, with an Award of Excellence.

 

The presentation took place on Tuesday 24th February, 2026, at the Egi Divisional Headquarters, Obite.

 

In his speech during the courtesy visit, the President General of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP) said, *On behalf of the good people of Orashi Region in Rivers State which comprises Abua/Odual, Ahoada East, Ahoada West and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Areas of Rivers State, we extend our best wishes to you on this historic occasion of our visit to your office. On behalf of the executive council and the entire membership of the congress, the delegation has come to familiarize ourselves with you and to commend you on the good work you have been doing in the division since your posting as the DPO”.

“We appreciate your commitment in the area of promotion of peace, and ensuring the restoration of law and order, proper community policing, this is to register a vote of confidence on your good office.”

 

“We lack words to express the profound gratitude of our people but all we can say is a big thank you and you can rest assured of our continued cooperation.”

“It is based on your disposition that the leadership of the Orashi National Congress resolved to bestow on you this prestigious certificate of excellence in recognition of your immense contributions and excellent performance in the, discharge of your duties/responsibility as  DPO.”

“May we use this opportunity to inform you that we are committed to the followings;

  1. Campaign against cultism and promotion of industrial harmony
  2. Promotion of peace and security,
  3. Operation work with traditional rulers, IOCs and security agencies just to mention but a few

 

“We appeal to you to use your good office to support us in our forthcoming Orashi Peace, Unity and Industrial harmony campaign across the four Local Government areas starting from 22nd March 2026 and to give little publicity by online platforms and radio stations.

 

“Please accept the very best assurance of our highest regards and esteemed solidarity.”

In his response, CSP Appah Abraham thanked the Orashi National Congress for the honour. “I’m delighted that this honour came from a notable and reputable organisation. It will definitely spur me to put in more effort to serve the nation and the area better” he said.

 

CSP Abraham said that his doors are open for collaboration with any group or persons that will assist with the provision of useful information to aid their job of security of lives and property. He said the award is dedicated to the proactive Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adewole Adepoju and officers at the Divisional Headquarters.
